About the TrimUI Brick Pro

The TrimUI Brick Pro takes the viral vertical Brick and grows it up: a larger, still pin-sharp 3.95-inch 1024x768 IPS screen, a 5000mAh battery that nearly doubles the original's stamina, and, the big one, dual Hall-effect analog sticks that the stick-less standard Brick never had. It keeps the same tall 4:3 shape that made the Brick so good for arcade, Game Boy and vertical shooters.

Underneath it runs the familiar Allwinner A133P, so the performance ceiling is unchanged from the Brick and Brick Hammer: flawless 8-bit, 16-bit and PlayStation 1, with N64, Dreamcast and lighter PSP hit and miss when tuned. The added sticks matter most for the games that need a thumbstick at all, like N64 and PSP, so they make those playable titles nicer to control rather than lifting the performance ceiling, which the identical A133P leaves unchanged. That control upgrade is the main reason to spend a little more over the plain Brick. Ships on Linux with strong custom-firmware support (muOS, NextUI, Knulli).
