About the R50S
The R50S is a budget widescreen handheld built on the familiar Rockchip RK3326, paired with a 5.1-inch 854x480 IPS panel and a generous 4200mAh battery. It is a comfortable pick for 8-bit and 16-bit libraries, and it handles PS1 nicely, which covers most casual retro gaming.
The RK3326 runs out of steam beyond that point, so treat any seller claims about DS, PSP or Dreamcast as best-effort rather than smooth. As a plug-and-play Linux device it is easy to pick up, though listings and internals can vary between sellers.
