About the R46H
The R46H is a budget horizontal handheld that pairs the mature, well-supported Rockchip RK3326 chip with a genuinely nice 4-inch 1024x768 IPS screen, a much higher resolution than you normally see at this price, and the main reason to pick it over the cheaper R36-series clones. It ships on a modded Linux build and takes community firmware, with Wi-Fi on some models (check the listing) for firmware updates, local netplay and RetroAchievements.
Performance is exactly what the RK3326 has always been good for: flawless 8-bit, 16-bit and PS1, with solid Nintendo DS, most Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast when tuned. It is not the console for GameCube, PS2 or heavy PSP. Think of it as an R36H with a sharper, larger screen. A comfortable, honest sub-£50 pick for retro up to the PS1 era.
