XU Mini M

About the XU Mini M

The XU Mini M is a tiny vertical pocket handheld in the Miyoo Mini mould, small enough to slip into a coat pocket yet fitted with a crisp 2.8 inch 640x480 IPS screen, hall effect sticks and twin microSD slots. Under the shell sits a Rockchip RK3326, the same modest 2017-era chip found in many entry-level handhelds, so this is very much a machine for the classics rather than a powerhouse. It sails through 8-bit and 16-bit libraries and handles most PlayStation games well, while Nintendo 64, Dreamcast and PSP are hit and miss at best.

Worth knowing before you buy: it was originally advertised with a faster RK3562 chip, but teardowns confirmed the older RK3326 inside, so treat any bold performance claims with caution. The same device is sold under several brand names, most commonly MagicX and Ampown, so listings can look different while being the same hardware. If you want a cheap, cute retro pocket console for 2D systems and light PS1, it delivers; if you are chasing later 3D consoles, look elsewhere.
